Financial Preparation on the Road to College: Free & Engaging High School PD on Wed., March 22nd from 4-5p Eastern via Zoom

Many high school seniors are focused on figuring out where to attend college. Teachers are being asked for advice and resources to help students make an informed decision. Districts are also responsible for embedding these topics into the education of all students, and Ohio high schools (among other states) will soon be required to do so within a stand-alone semester-long personal finance class.

This session will equip teachers and students with free and engaging resources and activities they can use to prepare for making a decision of where to attend college. These plug and play activities and tools work within the framework of many different existing lessons and curriculum.

The session will be led by Brian Page. Brian was an Ohio public school teacher for 15 years where he was awarded the Milken National Educator Award and CNN Money Hero. He is now a Visiting Scholar with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and helps support our efforts at the Alpaugh Family Economic Center at the University of Cincinnati.
