Teaching Financial Literacy & Economics Through Children’s Books (grades 1-4): Sept. 23rd from 4-5pm ET (via Zoom)


Join us as we explore children’s books that you can use to integrate financial literacy into your lesson plans. This workshop uses carefully selected children’s books to help grade 1-4 educators teach financial literacy concepts while also incorporating effective literacy strategies. You will walk away from this workshop with ready-to-use lesson plans.

Books include: “A Chair for my Mother” by Vera B. Williams and “Beatrice’s Goat” by Page McBrier. Concepts covered include saving, budgeting, opportunity cost, etc.

There is no registration fee for this workshop.

1.5 CEU’s will be available for participants. Graduate credit will also be available to purchase. If you’d like more than one graduate credit, additional assignments will be provided.
